People have seen my work and asked me, over the past 20 years, to build things for them. I liked doing it part-time, so in 2005, I "took my early retirement" to build furniture full time. Basically, I do what I like to do - and find out that people would pay me to do it. Not only do I like doing things, I like the challenge of satisfying the dreams of others. An incredible number of people have expressed fear or jealousy that I would be able to start a business.
I'm sure someone would like to have me do something their work for them. Not only do I enjoy it but my writing is superb and each name on the list is made without cheating and my partner also had a good time doing them. I searched the internet for such work and all I see are scams and this kind of work is my best asset ... Not only am I productive and accurate but it's a fun job and that I can handle well.
Homemade business cards unfortunately look like homemade business cards and this should not be the impression that you want the customer to have you or your business. The more professional you are, the better. Hand out your business cards as candy. I can find more excuses for having one of my business cards in someone's hand. I will write a note on the back of one of my cards, write directions, give a phone number, a favorite restaurant, my mechanic, my hairdresser, my doctor, my vet, etc.

The profit potential of a carpentry business depends on the products manufactured by a business owner, the sale of the products and the competence of the owner of the business. Some business owners only sell small products locally, and their incomes could be similar to the income provided by a part-time job.
